Madras Chronicle

A new menu, served warm.

The brief

Madras Chronicle was launching new dishes and a range of low- and zero-sugar kombuchas. They needed a single-page menu that announced the launch, felt fresh and inviting, and stayed true to the café’s warm, homely character.

The design

Soft peach-and-cream stripes frame a white arch, giving the page a café-awning feel. Elegant small-caps type, cut-out food photography and clear pricing keep it easy to scan — dishes up top, drinks below at one simple price.

Colour & type

A gentle palette of peach, cream and cocoa brown matches the logo and lets the food colours do the talking. Classic serif small caps give the menu a quietly premium, heritage feel.
